Abstract : The analysis of newborns’ cry has been a subject of increasing interest in the last 20 years. Babies cry from various reasons, like hunger, sleepiness of babies, pain and discomfort. It is often difficult to understand why baby is crying since they cannot express their feelings in definite words. The aim of this system is to find the reason behind the neonatal cry with feature extraction technique and supervisory it with database using raspberry pi.The proposed application features automatic detection of the babies cry , classification of the cry in classes like ‘hunger’, ‘pain’, ‘wet paper’, and displaying the cause of each cry. Keywords - cry signal, voice detection, MFCC, cry analysis, etc.
