Author :Wasan Adeeb Fadhil, Tariq J. Alwan

Article Citation :Wasan Adeeb Fadhil ,Tariq J. Alwan , (2021 ) " Synthesis and Characterization of PANI/TiO2 Nanocomposite Thin Films " , International Journal of Advances in Science, Engineering and Technology(IJASEAT) , pp. 57-60, Volume-9,Issue-2

Abstract : The PANI/TiO2 nanocomposite thin films have been synthesized by a chemical oxidative polymerization method. The aniline monomer was oxidized by using Ammonium persulfate (NH4)2S2O8 and the doping process of PANI was accomplished by utilizing hydrochloric acid (HCl) as protonic acid dopant. The PANI/TiO2 nanocomposite thin films was doped under different HCl molarity. The samples were characterized by Atomic force microscopy (AFM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) in order to know the effect of the increase in HCl molarity on the structural properties and morphology of the prepared samples. The electrical conductivity was measured and it was found the increased acid concentration given up to a 2M resulted in an increase in conductivity, but the addition of subsequent concentration decrease the conductivity value. Also, the absorption and transmittance spectra for PANI/TiO2 nanocomposite thin films were recorded to study the optical properties of prepared samples. Keywords - PANI/TiO2 thin films, In-situ polymarization method, structural properties.
