Abstract : Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is one of the common health problems for women in reproductive age. About 30% of them came to health care provider because of abnormal menstrual cycle. Abnormal uterine bleeding is the primary cause of vaginal bleeding, occurs in about 5-10% women. More than 50% occurs in perimenopausal period, 20% in adolescent period, and about 30% in reproductive age period. AUB include all menstrual abnormalities, in bleeding amount or menstrual duration. AUB has many etiologies, the diagnosis are made based on adequate anamnesis about clinical manifestations, physical examinations, and appropriate supporting examinations.
