Abstract : Molybdenum known as the suitable back contact for thin film based solar cells. The common method of deposit molybdenum particles on substrates is by sputtering process and common substrates will be soda lime glass. In this research, investigation on flexible solar cell has been carried on by using fiber as substrate. Molybdenum was prepared chemically by using molybdenum powder (99.9%) and 30% hydrogen peroxide solution. The ratio of both elements was investigated to optimize the molybdenum coating. Active layer of solar cell prepared by using Copper, Zinc, Tin and Sulphur precursors. To study the effect of the stirring of the solution, duration of heating and stirring was manipulated. Both molybdenum and active layer was coated by using dip coating technique. Fiber was utilized as substrate through this research investigation to understand the physical, morphological and structural characteristics of molybdenum and solar active layer. AFM, SEM and EDS were performed to identify morphological and structural properties of the fabricated cell. UV-Vis was performed to obtain the absorbance and transmittance curve of the chemically synthesized solar active layer. Accordingly, the fabricated samples show significant results as fiber can be developed to be used as solar fabrics. Keywords - CZTS, Flexible, Molybdenum, Nanotechnology, Solar cells
