Paper Title
Adsorption Studies for the Removal of Malachite Green Dye from Aqueous Solution using Graphene Oxide

Abstract
In this study series of batch operations were carried out using graphene oxide to study the influence of various operating parameters such as contact time, adsorbent dosage, pH, initial concentration and agitation speed on malachite green dye. Graphene oxide was synthesized by modified hummer’s method which is to be used as an adsorbent for the removal of dyes. The Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectrum (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Zeta potential analysis were used to characterize the adsorbent. The contact time for maximum dye removal was found to be 90mins. The results indicate that GO can be applied in treating industrial effluent and contaminated natural water. Keywords - Graphene oxide, Malachite green dye, Adsorption and dye removal.
