Paper Title
Heavy Metal Distribution Around Gokpinar Springs, Denizli –Turkey

Abstract
In this study, it is aimed to determine the relation between anthropogenic heavy metal loads in the sediment deposits of the Gokpinar and Derindere drinking water springs and the vertical and lateral magnetic susceptibility distribution in the east of Denizli city center. These springs with average 1,200 m3/s discharges are the most contributing springs to Denizli city center drinking water. We show lateral magnetic susceptibility distribution patterns in the sediment deposits caused by anthropogenic influences in urban areas. MS2D to read all the 346-point samples were taken during the study period. In addition, other parameters that are important in this study of the geology of the point of measurement and the sample taken. Limestones in the upper part of the region due to the sampled points of the mountain, surrounded by a thin, coarse gravel, limestone, containing fragments, sandy, and generally consists of vegetable soil. Heavy metal pollution in the in the sediment deposits of the Gokpinar and Derindere drinking water springs lay waste being discharged to water sources and around. It was showed the pollutant distributions after mapping the data of magnetic susceptibility and showed their sources to assess environmental threats. Magnetic susceptibility method is cheaper and less time-consuming against chemical methods which are taken 30 samples for chemical analysis. We showed that it is enough only using magnetic susceptibility measurements could provide heavy metal pollution distribution in such areas. Maps were generated with data anomalies the resulting and risk areas have been identified. It has been shown that pollution widely if precautions are not taken for a short period of time. Index Terms- Heavy metals, Magnetic susceptibility, Exhaust gas, Pollution, Denizli, Gokpinar, Derindere, Groundwater.
