Abstract : Females, juveniles(J2& J3 + J4) and root population of root-knot nematode (Meloidogynejavanica) in tomato
roots were increased gradually upto50% fly ash addition to the soil through artificial treatment conditions. However onward
to 50%, fly ash amendments wereproved detrimental to all parameters studied except the nematode density in terms of soil
and total population which decreasesprogressively in onward fly ash treatment. All the studied nematode parameters were nil
at 80 to 100% fly ash added treatments. Nematodeinoculum level was also proved an important determinant for the
nematode multiplication (i.e. build up) and reproduction. All the parameters, referred to above were found maximum at 3000
nematode inoculum levels(except reproduction factor) irrespective of the presence or absence of fly ash. But at 4000 and
5000 nematode inoculum levels, the nematode population was somewhat masked but were still greater than 1000 and 2000
levels. However Reproduction factor (Rf) decreased gradually with gradual increase in the inoculum level.
