Abstract : Due to its unique characteristics of the nanocatalyst, the use of synthetic emulsion-based synthetic techniques for its generation and shape control is an area of great importance today. Human genome nanostructures and composition are widely prepared using soft techniques of microemulsion of any specific shape, morphology, surface area, size, geometry. Nanocrystalline nickel oxide (NiO) and copper oxide (CuO) powders were synthesized by microemulsion technique using nickel chloride and copper chloride as precursors. The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Electron Spin Resonance (ESR), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Specific Surface Area (SSA). The results obtained from X-ray, ESR and TEM indicate that all samples prepared by microemulsion exist in nano scale particles. Catalytic degradation of TNT was studied over the nanosize nickel and copper oxide. The degradation of TNT over these samples showed that they have obviously higher catalytic activities. Keywords - Nanocatalysts, Nickel Oxide, Copper Oxide, Microemulsion, Decomposition of Hydrogen Peroxide.
