Abstract : Nowadays, global warming and to meet global energy demand are the main global issues which need an attention from both industry workers and researchers to come out with a better solutions. The application of Carbon Capture and Conversion (CCC) material as a photocatalyst to reduce the carbon dioxide (CO2) into a renewable energy products are an attractive and potential material to minimize this both global issues. To study the effect of synthesizing method of our CCC photocatalyst, reduced graphene oxide-Titanium (rGO-TiO2) and its impact to the morphological growth and chemical bonding are the objectives of this research paper. The rGO-TiO2 photocatalyst were synthesized via solvothermal and hydrothermal methods. The characterization results via FESEM and FTIR conclude that, the different synthesis method were affecting the growth morphology and its chemical bonding which indirectly affect the photoreduction performance. The synthesized rGO-TiO2 via hydrothermal method shows a better chemical bonding compared to rGO-TiO2 synthesized via solvothermal. The successful synthesis of rGO-TiO2 composite via the green raw material, low equipment cost and simple experimental steps are among the added value in this Carbon Capture and Conversion (CCC) material field. Keywords - Titanium Dioxide; Nanoparticle; Graphene; Composite; Photocatalyst; Carbon Dioxide; Methane.
