Abstract : Artificial retina is a method of electrically stimulating the remaining retinal nerve cells of patients who have lost
vision by the disappearance of the photoreceptor in the retina using a microelectrode array. The array is inserted in the retina
to restore the partial visual acuity of the patients. Light stimulation is transmitted to the optic nerve through the bipolar cells
and retinal ganglion cells present in the eye do. The artificial retina system is inserted into the human body to convert an
external light signal into an electrical image signal. To do this, packaging technology is essential for the mechanical and
electric field devices to function properly in the human body. In this study, we aimed to develop a biocompatible packaging
technology that can secure intraocular light permeability. After researching the candidates for packaging, we are going to share
the information on the pros and cons of the researchers who perform similar studies for the evaluation method. As a result,
parylene has been improved by applying a promoter with low adhesion, low mechanical strength, and high moisture
absorption and it can be improved by combining with epoxy based material.
