Abstract : The formulation of the research problems include: 1. how are roughmotor skills in children before and after given finger painting activities? 2. is there any effect of finger painting activities on roughmotor skills in children? Therefore, this research aimed to: 1) investigate roughmotor skills in children before and after given finger painting activities, 2) find out the effect of finger painting activities on roughmotor skills in children. The design of this research is Pre-experimental design. The subjects of this research were 13 children, including 6 boys and 7 girls. The data collection was done through observation technique. The data collected was analyzed by using Wilcoxon test. The results of this research showed that roughmotor skills in children had an increase in the obtained scores compared to the scores before the treatment was given with the value of Z (2,9) > Zα/2 (0,07). Thus, the hypothesis of this research is accepted. It is concluded that finger painting activities affect roughmotor skills in children. Key Words - Roughmotor skills, finger painting, activities
