Abstract : Population growth and industrialization have led to increased fossil fuel consumption and environmental
pollution. The influence of the energy conversion processes on urban quality air has received an increasing interest in the
recent years at various levels, due to the growing awareness of the effects of climate change on human living. Exhaust
emissions standards from internal combustion engines are moving automotive industries towards low emission and high
efficiency engines. This paper aims to assess some possible techniques and outcomes to prevent emission pollutants.
