Robust Pitch Detection Algorithm for Noisy Speech

The fundamental frequency estimation from noisy speech is a challenging problem for speech and signal processing. In this paper,we propose a pitch estimation algorithm based on the analysis of the voiced speech cepstrum by the multiscale product (MP) using continuous wavelets (CAMP) for noisy environment. The CAMP method consists in framing the voiced signal, calculating the real cepstrum of each frame and then computing the MP of the obtained cepstrum. Our CAMP approach is evaluatedonthe COOK database.Experiments show that our approach substantially outperforms state-ofthe- art Index Terms - speech, real cepstrum, wavelet transform, Multi-scale Product, pitch, noise
