Paper Title
Minimum Inhibitory Concentration of Aluminium to Bacteria as Preliminary Test of Aluminium Biosorption

Abstract
Aluminium recycling industry is one of the developing activities in Indonesia. This kind of industry is growing rapidly because of abundant amount of aluminium waste that can still be recycled. These aluminium recycling industries raise several issues, either in health as well as environment aspects. Several health problems such as respiratory, digestive and mild irritation also some environmental problem such as the changing of the ground water color and the decreasing of soil fertility around the industrial site were reported. One of the methods that can be used to reduce aluminium contamination is biological process. Before applying biological process, the toxicity of aluminium to tested organism need to be checked. Toxicity test were carried out by using screening test to determine the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of aluminium to bacteria. Three types of aluminium resistance bacteria were obtained from isolation process. Result of screening test showed that MIC value for Vibrio alginolyticus and Brochothrix thermosphacta was 500 mg/L and Pseudomonas aeruginosa was 250 mg/L. Index Terms - Al, B. thermosphacta,MIC, P. aerusginosa, V.alginolyticus.
