A Review of Life Cycle Assessment Papers of the Palm Oil Biodiesel in Malaysia<br>

<strong>Abstract</strong><br>
Considering the recent development in the life cycle assessment (LCA) this paper aims to review a selection of
the impact categories within the life cycle impact assessment of biofuels LCA papers on Malaysia. A 15 LCA papers were
reviewed for this purpose. The analysis shows that most the previous reviewed papers analysis account the climate change
impacts and the other impact categories were neglected. There is big lack of the number LCA papers that were conducted. In
addition, the analysis shows that most the previous LCA papers analysis focuses on a plantation in palm oil biodiesel
production phases. Additionally, the analysis shows that only a very few numbers of LCA papers analysis the full production
phases.
