Paper Title
Citrullination of Adenosine Deaminase in Synovial Fluid at Septic Arthritis

Abstract
As result of posttranslational modification by peptidyl arginine deiminases, arginine residues in proteins transform to citrulline. Abnormal modifications of citrullinated proteins are registeredat some severe human diseases, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, rheumatoid arthritis (RA), etc. One of the most important discoveries in rheumatology is the characterization of citrullinated auto-antigens. These antigens and the detection of anti-citrullinated protein antibodies are major achievements in the diagnostics of arthritis. The present investigation showed that a smallmolecular form of adenosine deaminase (SADA) in synovial fluid (SF) of septic arthritis (SA) is citrullinated. Key words -Arthritis, citrullinated adenosine deaminase, septic arthritis, synovial fluid.
