Paper Title
A Do-It-Yourself Approach to Generate Realistic Wildfire Dynamics for a Video game-based Disaster Management Simulator

Abstract
Wildfires may have devastating social and economic impact in our societies, destroying thousands of forest hectares and damaging the ecosystems. There is a pressing need to develop suitable wildfire models for specific environments to better design response systems. This article presents a Cellular Automata-based wildfire model to facilitate experts to qualitatively evaluate and design a suitable tool for the implementation of wildfire dynamics into a video-game-based decision making simulator. Results include progressive tools development and encouraging evaluation from wildfire experts, while conclusions highlight that a Do-It-Yourself approach for experts, involving real-time changes on the wildfire dynamics and video game technology, has the potential to generate valid and more realistic wildfire dynamics.
