Paper Title
Synthesis and Application of NiCaO2 Nanoparticle on the Photo Catalytic Degradation of Direct Green 6 Di-Azo Moiety-Based Textile Dye

Abstract
Nanoparticles are widely used in the photocatalytic activity due to their efficiency in removing colour. Nickel calciate nanoparticles were synthesized by solution combustion method using urea as a fuel. These nanoparticles are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX), Brunauer Emmett-Teller surface area determination and UV-absorption spectroscopy. It was calculated that, the corresponding band gap was found to be 3.3eV and also point zero charge was found to be 11.5, it is determined by pH drift method. Photocatalytic degradation was determined against direct green, by varying parameters such as, catalyst concentration, pH, dye concentration and in different conditions. The experimental result showed that, the optimum catalyst concentration and pH was found to be 0.2g/100ml at pH 8. The maximum degradation was found to be 92.62%. Hence, the efficiency of photodegradation of direct green dye by using NiCaO2 nanoparticles was ascertained. Keywords - Degradation, Direct green 6, NiCaO2, Nanoparticles.
