Abstract : Interliningsand woolen fabrics have been widely used in suit manufacture. It is important to select reasonable interlining for matching the woolen fabric. As the selection is done by subjective experiences, there are many limitations for suit production. This article analyzedthe correlation between interlining physical properties and mechanical properties of interlinings and woolen fabric with interlinings. The experiment was conducted by Kawabata Evaluation System for Fabrics (KES-F) and analysis used SPSS. The results of the correlation ship indicated that interlining physical properties affected the tensile, bending, surface, and compression properties of interlinings and woolen fabric with interlinings. The findings of the experiment led the effect interlining selection in terms of achieving required mechanical properties in suit production. Index Terms— Fusible Interlining, Woolen Fabric, Physical Property, Low-stress Mechanical Property, KES-F, Correlation Analysis.
