Abstract : Toxoplasma gondii is anintracellular protozoan parasite causes serious pathological effectsin cancer patients,
leading to great public health concern. The present study aimed todetermine the prevalence of T.gondiiamong cancer patients
(Leukaemia and Lymphoma) attending Basrah specialist children's hospital.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)
was used to investigate the anti-antibodies against T. gondiitype IgG and IgM. Blood samples were collected from 36 cancer
patients and 15 healthy (non-cancerousindividualsused as a control group) for comparison with the tested samples. All serum
samples were tested for T. gondiiimmunoglobulin (IgG and IgM) antibodies and selected positive samples were examined by
